about nathalie

Nathalie (she/they) is a queer bilingual herbalist, death worker, and psychotherapist descended from a long lineage of Afro-Cuban healers and Gallega intuitives. Her work is guided by her ancestral wisdom, contemplative training, clinical social work education, and lived experience with cancer. Nathalie has spent over ten years offering presence, care, and support to people in all stages of healing.  Nathalie is skilled at creating space for healing through life’s liminal times of initiation and transformation. Nathalie is passionate about working with people at the edges of major life changes. They believe that deep healing and magic can happen there!

Nathalie has clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and family systems facing mental suffering, chronic illness, terminal illness, ancestral trauma, and spiritual/existential distress. Nathalie has worked with clients in a variety of settings; outpatient mental health, primary care clinics, Oncology, Hospice, Palliative Care, and private practice. Nathalie is passionate about working with individuals that hold QTBIPOC, LGBTQIA+, and disabled identities. They are known to bring joy, love, and a fierce commitment to liberation in their work.

Nathalie has studied contemplative traditions, somatic healing, Reiki, and plant medicine with teachers in Thailand, Taiwan, Peru, India, and the United States. They have also studied contemplative care theory and Zen at Upaya Zen Center and New York Zen Center for Contemplative Care. Nathalie has been a devoted student of plant medicine throughout their life and completed two years of apprenticeship with the Sacred Warrior School of Holistic Herbalism. Nathalie loves making herbal remedios to support their community during liminal times. In her free time, Nathalie loves dancing with her preschooler, savoring moments of stillness, and playing in the woods.

By confronting uncertainty, we can welcome in healing,
joy, and liberation.
When we recognize and remember wholeness,
we can reclaim our ability to heal.
By caring for the vulnerable
places within us and around us,
we can foster resilience.
